Boots Sutton Coldfield in danger of losing says company bosses

by
August 23, 2024

Boots, the beloved high street retailer, is set to close 47 more stores across the UK in the coming months, potentially including the Sutton Coldfield branch on Boldmere Road. This closure comes as part of a broader plan announced in June 2023 to permanently shutter 300 outlets nationwide, with 253 already closed.

While the potential closure of the Sutton Coldfield store is a significant loss for the local community, Boots has reassured customers that an alternative store will be available within three miles. Additionally, all employees affected by the closures will be offered positions at other Boots locations. As the summer draws to a close, the future of the Sutton Coldfield branch hangs in the balance, marking a challenging period for the town’s high street.
