Planning permission has been granted for a new housing development in Loughborough, facilitated by design consultancy Marrons.

The project will see the demolition of an existing two-storey house to make way for five new homes, which will include a two-bedroom bungalow, two three-bedroom houses, one four-bedroom house, and one five-bedroom house.

Sachin Parmar, Planning Director at Marrons, who led the planning application with assistance from Planner Ellen Keen, commented, “We are pleased to have secured permission for a development that not only addresses the housing needs of the community but also enhances the local environment. Located in a highly sustainable area, the new homes will offer residents convenient access to local services and facilities. Each plot has been designed to provide ample private amenity space and maximise natural light through large windows and skylights, promoting wellbeing.”

The development is designed by Wilson Architects. Director Adam Wilson noted, “We have navigated the constraints of a gently sloping site and various concerns about overlooking and separation distances. The result is a unique cluster of homes that will enhance the area. We are excited to move forward and provide much-needed housing in Loughborough.”
