The investment ensures AWI can maintain its industry-leading three-week lead times for its extensive range of alloys, serving over 6,000 customers across fifteen sectors.

The managing director of AWI emphasised the company’s unique ability to deliver rapid turnaround times despite global supply chain disruptions, a competitive advantage that has enabled AWI to secure contracts in nearly 70 countries. Over 60% of its annual turnover comes from exports, with the United States, France, and Germany as its largest international markets. The expansion also includes a £30,000 investment in laser-guided measuring equipment, enhancing efficiency by saving time and resources.

To support this growth, AWI has expanded its workforce to 33 employees, adding a new lab technician to strengthen its testing department.
