Two young entrepreneurs have sent a chill through the world of bland kitchen appliances with the launch of a new range of funky fridges.

Ice-cool businessmen Ben Styles and Will Letterese spotted a niche in the fridge market and have been inundated with requests for personalised chillers since launching website www.minifridge.co.uk.

Firm favourites include their exclusive Koi and Blocks designs, while many companies have ordered branded small fridges to use as marketing and promotions tools at events, road-shows or in reception areas.

Producers of television’s The Gadget Show even requested their own mini-fridge bearing the programme’s well-known logo. The fridges can be wrapped in any design, from company branding to the weird and wacky.

The new website is just part of the duo’s growing internet marketing empire which operates under the banner of Styles Creative, based in Stratford-upon-Avon in Warwickshire.

Will said: “Our core business is web design and online marketing, which we provide for a wide range of clients. We also devote time and energy to developing business opportunities and discovered a new market for our range of exclusive and limited edition mini-fridges, which cannot be purchased anywhere else.

“They’re fun and they’re funky, and there is literally no limit to the designs they can carry. If companies want to stand out from the crowd our custom mini-fridges can be branded with company logos and graphics, making them truly unique corporate gifts.

Companies simply have to supply us with artwork and our graphic designers will create a bespoke wrap. We have produced our own Mini Fridge range including the Koi Limited Edition and Blocks Limited Edition, as well as designs for a variety of different businesses.”

He added: “We’ve been getting enquiries from major drinks suppliers who are interested in branded mini-fridges for promotional purposes.

“They have also been a big hit with design agencies, computer games designers and marketing companies. The producers of The Gadget Show contacted us after finding our website at the top of the Google rankings and we supplied them with a customised mini-fridge. They used it in an experiment involving mobile phones and have since returned the fridge which has been signed by all the presenters including Suzi Perry.”

The range of beer fridges, from manufacturers Husky and LEC, includes many famous brands including Budweiser, Guinness and Carlsberg. Wine fridges, for use at home or in wine bars and restaurants, include 6 bottle, 12 bottle and 16 bottle variations. Among the most popular of the drinks chillers is the classic Coca Cola design. A further range of small fridges are ideal for caravans, narrow-boats, cruisers, holiday homes, and student accommodation.

“These products are ideal for use either at home, for students, or for commercial use by a huge range of businesses that see the benefits of being able to customise the design of the minifridges. We’ve also extended the range of products available on the website to include bar caddies, draft beer dispensers, bar runners and condiment dispensers,” added Will.
