Specialist steel and fabric firm BEAKBANE has expanded its manufacturing capabilities by acquiring Crown Precision Engineering. Based in Milton Keynes, Crown specializes in high-precision machined components and sheet metal fabrication and will now be integrated into BEAKBANE’s Kidderminster-based operations.
This acquisition follows BEAKBANE’s recent rescue of Radshape, a Birmingham-based manufacturer, which secured 30 jobs.
The deal was facilitated by Wilkes’ Corporate team, led by Partner Rick Smyth, with additional support from Christie Nelson and Leighann Richards, and Beakbane’s accountants, BSN Associates.
Mike Southwell, BEAKBANE’s managing director, described the acquisition as a strategic move to support the company’s long-term growth. Rick Smyth of Wilkes noted that Crown Precision Engineering’s expertise aligns perfectly with BEAKBANE’s vision, enhancing its industry-leading capabilities.
This is positive news for the local area, as it provides a much-needed boost for the local job market during a turbulent time for the West Midlands.
