Footasylum is set to significantly expand its presence at Merry Hill, with plans to triple the size of its store from 3,000 sq ft to 10,000 sq ft. The streetwear retailer will merge its existing unit with an adjacent space to accommodate a broader range of products and enhance the shopping experience.
The expanded store will introduce a new mobile payment system and updated in-store screens. Customers can look forward to a more extensive selection of men’s and junior apparel and footwear, as well as the addition of Footasylum Women’s, featuring top brands such as Nike, Adidas, Monterrain, Forena, and Zavetti Canada.
Alistair Winning, asset manager at Sovereign Centros, which manages Merry Hill on behalf of CBRE, commented on the expansion: “Footasylum’s decision to upscale is a testament to the centre’s success and profitability. The expansion aligns with our strategy to create a footwear hub within the centre, complementing other popular brands like Nike Unite, Skechers, and Schuh. It’s gratifying to see a long-standing tenant like Footasylum choose to grow with us.”
Shannon Osman, head of retail at Footasylum, expressed enthusiasm about the expansion: “We are thrilled to unveil our newly expanded store at Merry Hill. With a dedicated customer base in the West Midlands, we are committed to offering an enhanced shopping experience that underscores our dedication to quality and service.”
The expanded Footasylum store is anticipated to further strengthen Merry Hill’s position as a leading shopping destination, catering to evolving consumer preferences with a diverse range of fashion and footwear options.
