A new legal firm, DBA Law, has been launched by a team of five former partners from Thursfields, in collaboration with the legal disruptor Excello Law. DBA Law, based in Birmingham, will focus on property and property litigation, offering comprehensive services in both transactional and contentious real estate matters.
The founding team of DBA Law includes partners Helena Bannister, Terry Dickson, and Anna Albini, along with associate Evita Svampane and paralegal Louise Evans. Previously, they worked together at Buckles, Wright Hassall, and most recently Thursfields.
Operating from Excello Law’s Birmingham office, DBA Law will handle a range of property-related issues such as site acquisitions for development, landlord and tenant disputes, and asset management. The firm will also address long residential leasehold matters, mixed-use block management, lease extensions, and enfranchisement.
DBA Law’s launch marks the ninth firm established in partnership with Excello Law through its ‘House of Brands’ initiative. Helena Bannister, a partner at DBA Law, expressed enthusiasm about the new venture: “Launching DBA Law with Excello Law’s support has been ideal. They provide a perfect blend of autonomy and extensive backing, including expertise in marketing, compliance, and finance, allowing us to concentrate on delivering exceptional service to our clients.”
Jo Losty, Chief Operating Officer at Excello Law, highlighted the significance of the new launch: “DBA Law is the ninth firm to join our House of Brands and the fourth this year. Our initiative continues to strengthen, providing a comprehensive support system that empowers talented lawyers like those at DBA Law to establish and grow their firms with confidence.”
DBA Law aims to leverage this support to become a leading player in property law, delivering high-quality services tailored to the needs of its clients.
