Pall-Ex, a Leicestershire-based palletised freight distribution network, has appointed Ellie Harman as international quality & compliance manager to bolster its global operations. Harman, who began her career with Pall-Ex as an apprentice in 2018, will now focus on working closely with Pall-Ex UK’s shareholder members and their customers.
From her base at Pall-Ex’s headquarters in Ellistown, Harman will provide training on the network’s cross-border services and ensure compliance with international export regulations and customs processes across Europe. Her role is aimed at easing concerns related to sending freight to Europe post-Brexit.
Harman stated, “I look forward to educating our members and engaging with our partners about the strengths and capabilities of our international service. Since Brexit, there has been some uncertainty around sending freight to Europe. My role is to provide clarity and guidance to help strengthen confidence amongst our members and their customers.”
Pall-Ex has invested significantly in its IT infrastructure and international service offerings, including new cross-border visibility tools, global track-and-trace features, and the launch of Pall-Ex Ireland. Harman will be instrumental in supporting these advancements.
Sue Buchanan, international director for Pall-Ex, welcomed Harman to the team: “Ellie will help educate our members on cross-border regulations and ensure compliance with post-Brexit regulations. This will enable UK SMEs to access new markets and become established international exporters.”
